Someday I want to be a Social Worker

Satabood came with her older sister to live at Breanna’s House of Joy in 2004 when she was 5 years old. Satabood started school in kindergarten. Her mother passed away and her father remarried and was no longer involved in her life. Satabood said, “When I first came to BHJ, I really missed my home in the village. I was so young and have never been away from home. But after a while, I adjusted and now I really like it here. I have many friends and I feel accepted at Breanna’s House of Joy. When I finish high school I want to study to be a community developer or a social worker. I want to go back to my village and to improve the living condition of the poor people there. “ Satabood shared that she trusted in God at the church camp when she was in middle school. Satabood also prayed for salvation/recommitment at an invitation during a Bible Study: New Life in Christ – Oct 3, 2014. During an outreach in 2015, Satabood shared how God helped her overcome the loss of her mother and to forgive the person that she felt was responsible for her death.
