Hello, my name is Chanida Jato. My nickname is Dada'. I have been at Breanna's House of Joy since May 2015 and I am from the Lahu tribe.
Needs $1,800 of
$1,800 for 2019. Or $150/month.
OUR GOAL: A CIRCLE OF SUPPORTERS GIVING $150/MONTH OR $1800 FOR THE YEAR.
Dada’s parents divorced when she was 2 months old. Her father never came back to take care of her. Dada's mother left the village when she was 6 months old. Dada stayed with her grandmother. Her mother came back home from time to time, but the last time was over two years ago. Dada's grandmother had a difficult time taking care of her. She struggles with high blood pressure, which made it even more difficult. When Dada came to BHJ, she was a sad and angry girl. She had difficulty getting along with the other girls and lacked many basic skills to be successful in school. Slowly Dada has been adjusting to her new home with the love and support of the staff and missionaries. After the first six months, Dada began to laugh and smile. She played with the other little girls daily. Dada accepted the staff as her new care takers and loved the director couple as her second parents. Recently, Dada prayed for salvation and enjoyed learning more about God and continued to grow daily in her relationship with Jesus. Dada also learned about personal hygiene and appropriate social skills in relating and communicating with others. Dada was receiving extra help for her reading and math skills along with help for other subjects. Dada had said that she would like to be a seamstress and be able to take care of her grandmother. Dada still struggles with anger from time to time. Our prayer has been that God would completely heal her heart and give her fresh joy in Him.
