We are excited to introduce you to one of our D1 students, Chi. Chi just received his English degree at Chiang Mai Rajabhat University, and he has an amazing story of perseverance, resilience and faith!
"My name is Sompong, but I go by Chi...I came from the Karen hill tribe. I grew up in a children's home in the northern part of Thailand.
With no support from a family since I lost my parents a long time ago, it was hard to receive a good education. I did not know what life would look like after graduating from high school and leaving the children's home.
By God's grace, I found Daniel 1 Leadership Academy and applied to receive a scholarship. I have now graduated with a Bachelor's degree in English language.
I not only received scholarships [at D1] but also the opportunity to grow as a leader, to increase my capabilities, and to excel spiritually.
Daniel 1 trained me to be ready to go out into the world and live a meaningful life in the way God intended for me."
