Staying Connected through Village Visits

The students in our Daniel 1 Leadership Program (D1) come from hill tribe villages across the country, including Karen, Mien, Lisu, and Lahu. The majority of them still have families who live in the villages.


Throughout the year, we prioritize taking students back to the villages where they grew up, giving them both a way to minister and to stay connected to their cultures. Since our D1 students have to be in the city for college, they could potentially lose touch with their tibes and way of life. Visiting the villages is one of the ways to keep them connected to their own heritage and tradition, which in turn, would help their love for the community.



Trips to villages serve as an eye-opener for many of our students, giving them hands-on experience in ministering and leading.
